Over the last 20 years, genetic testing for breast cancer has been focused on the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes.
Through our increased understanding of breast cancer genetics, clinical genetic testing is expanding to incorporate other genes, including PALB2. Inherited PALB2 mutations are rarer than BRCA1/BRCA2 and much less is known about PALB2 compared to BRCA1 and BRCA2.
Our aim is to collect cancer data on people with PALB2 mutations and their relatives to improve our knowledge of this gene and provide better information for future generations.
